Aero1 Avro 235mm Pro10 Racebody
Ever since the legendary Masami Hirosaka won the 1994 IFMAR WORLDS Pro10 Championships in Germany, this class has held a special place in Dale Epp’s heart. This big win helped propel his fledgling RC body company into a place of global prominence.
Now, 30 years later, the venerated Pro10 class has been gaining popularity in many parts of the world. It’s definitely time for something new that’s effective, tuneable and attractive to the eye.
Enter: the new “Avro” Pro10 body by Aero1.
This body features many ways to tune for stability as well as top speed. The Avro’s dimensions are compatible with most of the currently available Pro-10 chassis. A large centre fin increases high-speed stability when racing outdoors The sculpted side panels increase side bite. To tune for aero balance, an add-on adjustable gurney flap is included. A recessed area at the top of the side dams will allow for add-on side dam extensions (also included). Measuring 227mm across the front and 239mm across the rear. The Avro’s length allows for a wheelbase length of 255 - 270mm.
The Avro’s most unique feature is the molded-in “air cooling” channel and the included flexible ducting that fastens into the rear of the roof, to direct cool air to the motor and/or electronics. This is a welcomed feature when racing in extreme outdoor heat.
The Avro is available in regular weight .030” polycarbonate as well as lightweight .020 polycarbonate. It comes with protective film, decal sheet (including cockpit window decal), and gurney flap mounting hardware.
